Environmental Svcs I - Part-Time Job at Christie Clinic
Christie Clinic's department of Environmental Services is seeking a part-time Environmental Services I position. Hours are Monday - Friday 4:30pm-10:30pm at the Windsor Clinic. Duties include daily cleaning and supplying of offices, exam rooms, laboratory and special medical procedure rooms, as well as sanitizing and sterilizing environmental surfaces within the clinic. 2 years of housekeeping experience preferred.
Work is performed in a combination of office laboratory, exam room and special medical procedure rooms. Frequent exposure to dirty and unsanitary conditions, harsh cleaning agents, toxic chemicals, contaminated wastes and bodily fluids is common. Requirements may include working evenings, weekends and irregular hours.
Responsibilities:
- Clean floors, rooms and offices following established schedules and methods.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly manner and re-stock supplies, as needed.
- Transport trash and soiled linen from collection points to designated area.
- Dust surfaces, damp wipe furniture and clean and polish metal and porcelain fixtures in bathroom.
- Assist in cleaning emergency spills as observed or requested. Sanitize and sterilize clinic areas and remove carpet spots.
- Deliver inventory to various departments with a minimum of interference to department function.
- Perform related work as required.

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds.

Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of maintenance equipment is required.
