About the Position:

This is a fast paced, aggressive, entry-level program that is designed to challenge you at all times. In this development program, you will have countless opportunities to solve real - world manufacturing issues and implement your ideas while being mentored by other successful James Hardie team members.

2-Year Development Program Structure:


First year: Rotational training

You are placed at one of our 11 US Manufacturing Plants and will receive hands-on manufacturing training through the entire fiber-cement manufacturing process in addition to development of key professional skills

Projects: select and complete strategic projects using the skills acquired during your first year


Second year:

After successful completion of your first year, you will be promoted and assigned to a specific process or role across one of our 11 U.S. plants (Waxahachie, TX; Cleburne, TX; Fontana; CA, Reno; NV, Tacoma; WA (2), Peru; IL, Pulaski; VA, Prattville, AL; Plant City, FL; Summerville, SC; Westfield, MA)

  • You will lead key projects that have a direct impact on the success of the manufacturing plants

Education/Expectations Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Paper Science, Polymer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering
  • Able to relocate to one of our 11 U.S. Manufacturing plants
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated work ethic through past co-op or internship, preferred
