Job Title: Endoscopy PAT Coordinator

Job Summary: Manages and coordinates the pre-procedural process for Endoscopy patients.

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Coordinates patient schedule for Endoscopy unit
  • Utilizes company-wide electronic patient records system to determine upcoming patient schedules. Monitors daily for changes to existing schedules.
  • Appropriately schedules patients in ASC scheduling software according to physician block time, patient needs and equipment. Removes cancelled appointments in a timely manner.
  • Alerts Charge Nurse and Radiology personnel (if applicable) of any scheduling conflicts or late additions in a timely manner.
  • Calls patients to remind them to complete their online registration paperwork. Assists them with completion of their online registration as necessary.
  • Monitors completion of online registration and prints paperwork for nurse review, files in patient chart.
  • Maintains patient calls & appointment schedule 2 weeks in advance.
  • Manages and maintains the daily patient schedule by typing and distributing the finalized schedule for the following day to the nurses and all GI physician offices.
  • Addresses and handles all Tasks in a timely manner.

  • Updates demographic information in Intergy
  • Review and update charts
  • Reconciles daily journal & balances cash drawer daily.
  • Answering phones
  • Assisting patients

Job Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Prior medical office experience preferred
  • 1 year previous experience required

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
  • Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Occupational Exposure:

  • Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards.
