Mehlville Fire Protection District is Hiring an Emergency Vehicle Mechanic!

We are looking for a professional and reliable Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Mechanic to join our team. The Emergency Vehicle Mechanic provides full service and repair of fire apparatus, ambulances, and other emergency vehicles and equipment.

$70,000 SALARY ($33.65 per hour)

• Salary increases $2,500 with EVT Level I & II Fire Apparatus Technician Certification
• Salary increases $2,500 with EVT Level I & II Ambulance Technician Certification
• This 40-hour work week position provides opportunity for overtime

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Equivalent combination of education, training and experience accepted):

• High school graduate or a state-issued GED required
• Education in Heavy Equipment Technology or Diesel Repair preferred but not required
• Automotive Services Excellent Certification (ASE T Series)
• EVT Level I & II Fire Apparatus Technician and EVT Level I & II Ambulance Technician Certifications must be achieved within two years of employment
• Must possess a current Driver’s License
• Ability to meet the physical demands and perform essential functions of the position, including regular attendance
