Electrical Technician

**Starting wage $26+/hr (depending on experience), $2,000 hiring incentive bonus, quarterly bonus eligibility, competitive benefits, 401K**

Georgia-Pacific has an immediate opening for an Electrical Technician at our Hosford, FL OSB facility.

The Electrical Technician creates value by troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems on the manufacturing equipment to ensure the facility is operating at its highest capacity. Electricians also perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliability of electrical components to meet the facility's goals for quality and production. Our Electricians demonstrate critical thinking skills and work as a team to ensure a safe and productive working environment.

The Electrical Technician will start off working a day shift but will soon transition to 12hr rotating shifts. Employees will also work weekends (average one weekend days/one nights per month), holidays, and overtime and may work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Troubleshooting, repair and maintain process control systems and electrical components
• Read assembly drawings, schematics, and equipment layouts
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuits
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and replace control devices
• Troubleshoot electrical problems in an industrial environment
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• At least two (2) years of electrical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience troubleshooting process equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.)
• Experience with basic computer skills (excel, word, power point)

What Will Put You Ahead

• Two (2) year technical degree or higher in industrial electrical maintenance or electrical engineering
• Working knowledge of industrial test equipment with troubleshooting and electrical skills
• Experience reading electrical drawings
• Knowledge of ControlLogix, Device Net, Wonderware, Ethernet
• Experience with 480-volt motors
• Knowledge of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining (PLC's, HMI's and VFD's)
