In this role, the EDM Operator will run the electrical discharge machine using the CAM software program. This includes the setup and operation of EDM equipment to ensure proper functionality when making precision diamond and CBN components cutting tools.

REQUIRED DUTIES:
- Read customer drawings and prints
- Set up and operate required equipment
- Ability to work with tight tolerance tools
- Use inspection equipment and precision measuring tools
- Maintain machines, fixturing, and tooling through preventive maintenance
- Work with team members to maintain workflow
- Practice workplace safety by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
CORE SKILLS:
- Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- Familiar with metric measurements
- General computer skills
- General knowledge of CNC controls
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Excellent time management
- Punctual and strong work ethic
Willing to work overtime when needed - Must be able to stand for the entire shift
- Good use of both dexterities and hand/eye coordination
- Ability to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
SAFETY / PPE:
- Safety glasses (company provided)
Education and Experiences
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous EDM experience preferred
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred
- CAD experience is a plus
