Summary:
- Supervise and lead a team of Family Support Workers in promoting family engagement and children’s school readiness among families with young children.
- Ensure that the program meets Head Start Performance Standards and implements best practices, documenting family outcomes, school readiness goals and service delivery.
- Utilize the PROMIS data management system and Teaching Strategies GOLD.
- Support families in accessing community resources and transitioning into other early childhood programs when children reach age 3.
Requires:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Sciences, Human Development or related field.
- Supervision experience is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with high risk and culturally diverse families to support their children’s school readiness and/or family self-sufficiency.
- Leadership, flexibility, communication, attention to details, computer literacy and team building skills are essential.
- Must have reliable transportation for work purposes and a valid driver’s license.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
