Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Early Childhood Program Specialist for immediate hire for an innovative educational institution in Bellevue, WA. This is an on-site, full-time, direct-hire opportunity. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

As the Early Childhood Program Specialist, you will report to the Director of Childhood Center and be responsible for maintaining healthy environments for children, curriculum planning, and directing classroom events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate curriculum and indoor/outdoor activities with individual and group development in mind.
• Assess and monitor children's needs and work to support positive development of each child.
• Implement instruction through respectful interactions and direct daily classroom events and programs.
• Foster academic, social and emotional skills in learning environments that are age appropriate, nurturing, and culturally respectful.
• Work with and support team members to evaluate and revise classroom schedule, parameters, and guidelines as well as plan, evaluate, and improve programming.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years of experience working with children ages 0 to 6 years old in a group setting
• Must meet licensing requirements for Washington Department of Early Learning (DEL) such as registration in Managed Education and Registry Information Tool (MERIT)
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Current infant/child CPR & Basic First Aid; Blood Borne Pathogen training (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring)
• Current Food Handler’s permit (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
