Boarding Kennel Assistant with GROWTH Potential needed ASAP. We are located in West Milford NJ.

Starting Salary is based on experience, experience is required.

Part Time Schedule- Nights, Some Weekends, Some Holidays

Full Time Schedule- Mon-Fri, Some Weekends, Some Holidays

Requirements:

Handle Multiple Dogs at the Same time, be responsible for large play groups. Assess responsibly and prevent dogs from getting hurt. To assess dog behavior in a fast paced environment is imperitive.

• Pass background check
• Comfortable playing with and handling dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Comfortable cleaning up dog waste
• Comfortable cleaning dog kennels
• Able to lift 40+ lbs.
• High tolerance for loud noise (Barking)
• Be able to walk, stand, and be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Reliable transportation to work
• Punctual, neat appearance
• At least 18 years or older.

Responsibilities include:

• Safety of dogs and staff is 1st priority
• Cleanup after dogs immediately
• Clean dog kennels and play areas daily
• Bathing dogs and brushing out
• Feeding as per parent instructions
• Playing/interacting with dogs in your play group
• Able to identify unwell or sick dogs, notify manager immediately
• Keep kennel and play yards neat and clean everyday

• This job requires you to take care of an avg of 10 dogs at a time in packs. You must have experience in assessment of dog’s behavior and ability to properly multitask, organize and act safely in this type of environment. If there is no kennel experience or dog temperament knowledge experience at a previous facility your application will automatically be rejected.
