Wenger Corporation is seeking a Distribution Planner who is responsible for creating and maintaining a customer order schedule in an effort to meet the delivery requirements and assure customer satisfaction.
At a minimum you'll need:
- High school education and 3+ years’ work experience; or an Associate Degree
What you will do on a typical day:
- Communicate customer requests outside current Available to Promise (ATP), recommends change to the master production schedule as sales demand changes and determines best feasible ship date(s)
- Determine/revise scheduled ship dates to customer orders
- Coordinate rush orders with sales and production
- Schedule daily customer orders on the exception report and resolves issues with late orders and notifies Shipping Manager of any unusual difficulties in scheduling orders
- Work toward continual process improvement to ensure maximum performance at the least possible cost
- Process drop ship orders in a timely manner to ensure invoicing can take place as soon as possible
- Cross train to back up Production Planner position as needed
