Position Summary
The Director of Practice Operations for Urology is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the MaineHealth Medical Group’s growing urology practice sites in South Portland and Biddeford, Maine. The Director is responsible and accountable for ensuring quality patient care, practice culture and engagement, management and staff development, recruiting and retention of management, and financial performance. This individual partners with medical and administrative leadership with strategic planning and business development for practice area. The Director plays a critical leadership role and collaborates with peers and also with a multidisciplinary team (Information Services, Human Resources, central billing office, credentialing, legal, finance and others) to ensure the urology practices are functioning optimally and are in compliance with all regulatory bodies. This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Operations.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
2. License/Certifications: N/A
3. Experience: At least 5 years of progressively advanced financial and administrative management in a hospital outpatient practice environment. Experience in a surgical specialty setting is preferred.
4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.
5. Demonstrated ability to proactively develop and implement new programs or services.
6. Must be an effective leader, team builder, mentor and coach.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels.
8. Demonstrated ability to engage staff and lead through change.
9. Proven ability to establish practice work plans, goals and manage to those objectives.
10. Displays initiative, effort & commitment in carrying out the mission, vision and values.
11. Demonstrates broad understanding of financial aspects of practice management.
12. Analytic thinking ability to access, analyze, and meaningfully utilize available information. Proficient computer skills.
