Position Location: Greater Lowell Area (Lowell, Tyngsboro, Chelmsford, and Tewksbury)

The Residential Director will oversee 5 residential programs for adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. As the Residential Director, you will oversee the operational, financial, and administrative operations of the residential programs under the direction of the Operational Director of Residential Services. In addition, provide supervision, training, and evaluation of staff to ensure person-centered programming for individuals served.

Duties and Responsibilities (These duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):

Maintain administrative direction strategic growth and overall coordination of our Residential programs.

  • Ensure policies and best practices are implemented to produce optimal treatment, health, advancement, and safety of individuals served.
  • Ensure that the homes are safe, clean, well-organized, and maintained in accordance with all local state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure that Supports Coordinators, Assistance Supports Coordinators, and Direct Care Professionals complete all assigned duties, and that all documentation is completed appropriate and timely.
  • Monitor training processes that ensure continuity of program quality.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of best practices that ensure a high level of comprehensive service provision to consistently meet and exceed standards.
  • Oversee the development and training of staff on department policies and procedures.
  • Intervene in crisis situations as needed.
  • Oversee external reporting within in residential services.
  • Member of our Positive Behavioral Supports Committee, Human Rights Committee, and attend other meetings as needed.
  • Facilitate monthly residential Support Coordinator Meetings.
  • Work closely with other department team members to ensure successful DDS Office of Quality Enhancement surveys, licensing, and other quality assurance requirements.
  • Provide emergency coverage and on-call support when needed.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of individuals.
  • Carry out all activities in accordance with the agency’s mission, policies, procedures, and objectives and supervisory directions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operational Director of Residential Services and/or senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health/human service-related field and five years’ experience in the human services field, with at least three years of experience in a supervisory role. In lieu of a degree, 10 or more of re;event experience may suffice, with at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role. Master’s Degree in a Health/Human Service-related field is strongly preferred.
  • Possess current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
  • Must possess a current Medication Administration Program (MAP) certificate or pass the Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification program within 3 months from date of hire. (ASI will provide training).
  • Must obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid (FA) certification. (ASI will provide training)
  • Must possess fiscal management abilities.
  • Proven leadership, organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to teach and inspire teamwork and cooperation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of Department of Developmental Services (DDS) regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, problem-solving and communications skills.
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
  • Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).

Sign-on Bonuses:

$500.00 Sign-on Bonus will be provided after 90-Days of employment.

Pay: From $64,480.00 per year
