Essential Functions:

  • Oversight and overall management of WEAVE’s Residential Services Programs.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, coach, and evaluate program staff.
  • Contributes to providing a welcoming, safe, secure environment for survivors and their children.
  • Responsible for the overall operations of WEAVE’s Safehouse and Open House campuses, including coordinating with the Operations and Facilities team.
  • Grant reporting, writing, and monitoring.
  • Evaluates/monitors effectiveness of programs and adjusts as needed.
  • Under the direction of the Chief Program Officer, Housing & Intervention, ensures grant outcomes are met and financial budgets are monitored and reported.
  • Works to secure grants/funding to meet budgetary and programmatic requirements.
  • Development of policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for the Residential Services Program with the purpose of ensuring compliance with all (government, funding, clinical) regulation, and coordinates and adheres to compliance of site visits and audits.
  • Supports with client and/or staff crisis situations in a safe and effective manner.
  • Ensures staff maintain secure, confidential, and timely data entry and client documentation.
  • Works with program staff and clients to ensure programs and services are meeting the needs of the clients and are trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally responsive.
  • Works with staff to implement strengths model case management and best practices for supporting survivors of domestic violence and their children.
  • Outreach to partners and community for network building.
  • Attends events/meetings to build/cultivate positive working relationships and the development of collaborative partnerships.
  • Abides by professional confidentiality guidelines by only sharing client information within the organization when it meets the needs of the client.
  • On-call availability for Residential Services Consultation and ensures 24/7 shelter staffing.
  • Demonstrate ability to abide by WEAVE’s values.
  • Ensures all program services and staff abide by Employee Handbook, safety policies, and agency guidelines and protocols.
  • Serves as a part of the Leadership Team and all its functions.
  • Fosters transparency in communication throughout organizational structure as pertinent and relevant.
  • Promotes collaboration and teamwork.
  • Represents WEAVE Residential Programs to external partners and the community.
  • Supports staff professional development and growth within the agency.
  • Hires, manages, supports, and coordinates with Residential Program volunteers to stay engaged and provide supportive voluntary services withing the residential programs.

Other Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate in agency meetings, staff meetings, and in-service trainings.
  • Complete WEAVE’s Peer Counselor Certification training (69 hours).
  • Maintain accurate and timely timesheets.
  • Maintain knowledge of domestic violence, identify and report sexual assault, elder abuse and child abuse laws and reporting responsibilities and file abuse reports, as required.
  • Be familiar with legal, medical, housing, educational and social service agencies and resources in the community which may be of use to residents and clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in behavioral science field and three years of management experience in a domestic violence program or residential services setting preferred or, a bachelor’s degree in the human services field and five years management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of program support and community development.
  • Experience with trauma informed, strength based and client centered approach.
  • Management and supervisory skills and experience in a residential setting preferred.
  • Crisis intervention, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Provide copy of valid California driver license, have reliable transportation, and submit current proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Work environment is primarily in an emergency shelter/ 24-7 facility setting. May need to lift and carry 25 lbs., extend both arms above the head and/or reach below the waist, stoop, squat, crawl, bend the back to retrieve items, climb stairs, or use an elevator. Employee may also need to remain in one position (i.e., sitting or standing) for an extended period of time while completing work tasks. Must be able to efficiently operate a keyboard and mouse or adaptive equivalent, take notes; utilize desk tools such as phones or calculators, and utilize larger office equipment such as printers and copy machines.
