As the Director of IT at Horizon, you will…

  • Be responsible for all aspects of the NOC (Network Operations Center) including staffing, scheduling, infrastructure availability and incident resolution. Establish and ensure Service Level Agreements (metric) are met for IT Service Requests including 24x7 activities.
  • Monitor Horizons computer assets through inventory process including warranty/maintenance programs. Coordinate long-term planning of hardware purchases.
  • Design and manage system monitoring, alerts and notifications including SIEM.
  • Implement security best practices to protect the Horizons assets. Enforces policies and consistently develops/improves/updates the Horizon's change management policy. Ensure hardware security, integrity, stability and redundancy. Ensure proprietary systems and data are protected to the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Create and manage detailed project task plans, budgets, timelines, milestones and document. Manage project activities, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to Horizon quality standards, and meet established expectations.
  • Manage 3rd party vendor relationships and contracts related to Horizon’s IT Department.
  • Ensure IT related policies & procedures are updated, reviewed and reflect current best practices and government regulations (i.e. HIPAA, CFR42 Part 2, SHIELD, etc.).
  • Support Horizon’s VoIP phone systems and mobile solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage IT staff including schedules, 24x7 operations, mentoring, training, Horizon Policies & Procedures, annual performance reviews, etc.. Maintain a satisfactory level of technical skills department-wide by keeping up with current trends and developments related to team member roles.

What makes you a great candidate?

We can’t wait to learn more about you! Here are a few specifics of what you’ll need for the job:

Experience:

  • 6+ years of work related experience in server design and support; 5 years of IT management

Formal Education/Training/Licensures:

  • BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Professional IT Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, MCP, Cisco CCNA, Net+ are recommended but not required

Basic Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced understanding of Windows Desktop and Server computers and OS
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Server Technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Server technologies (Exchange, SharePoint, SCCM, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud computing include Microsoft Office 365.
  • Understanding of Dell, SAN, Cisco hardware support
  • Ability to troubleshoot in depth computer support issues
  • Advanced diagnosis skills of technical issues
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints to deliver projects on-time and within budget.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of writing proposals or papers, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with upper management.
  • Exceptional customer services skills
  • Support of multiple location facilities as it pertains to computer systems and devices
  • IT Design/Support & Project experience

This is a full-time position. Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
