Responsibilities:
As Groups rapidly expands its Marketing team to meet the larger need, we are looking to add a seasoned, data-driven, highly motivated, and deeply strategic Director of Paid Acquisition to take us to the next level.

The ideal candidate has more than 5 years of experience managing paid marketing channels and a clear track record of success driving growth for organizations. Our Director of Paid Acquisition is well versed in paid media channels like paid search, display advertising, Facebook advertising, traditional/outdoor, email/SMS, TV, radio, and influencer marketing, and they are not above jumping in when needed to manage the executional day-to-day as a player + coach. In addition, this role comes with immediate people management responsibilities, so our eventual hire needs to have some experience managing teams.

Further, this role will involve forging relationships with external agency partners, while also building meaningful partnership with cross-functional teams internally, such as our Product Team, Groups’ Call Center, IT/Tech, and the state-level teams we serve.

To be successful, this leader will make data-driven decisions, must be willing to test, learn and if necessary, fail fast, and they will act with a sense of purpose and urgency to launch new tactics, make quick optimizations and build reporting to inform their decisions.

In addition to paid media, our leader of Paid Acquisition will run point on the overall nurture strategy, mapping out journeys that are triggered based on behaviors and signals using tools available - like email, SMS, direct mail, automated chat and more.
Qualifications:
Desired Skills and experiences:

  • 5+ years of experience in Paid acquisition marketing w/ a track record of running high growth teams.
  • Process-driven, with the ability to run a data-centric acquisition org that maximizes productivity and ensures collaboration cross-functionally.
  • Experience running ads in: Google Ad Words (Certification preferred), Bing AdCenter, Facebook Advertising. Ideally with a background of running campaigns with a $5M/yr or higher budget.
  • Comfort with email / SMS automation and ability to build a timely, effective nurture program based on what someone has (or has not done).
  • Experience interfacing and partnering with multiple teams and a reputation for being a good partner..
  • Excellent problem solver. When issues surface, your first instinct is to work the problem and use the resources you have to solve it.
  • Proficient-to-advanced in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, as well as Powerpoint or Google Slides.
  • Demonstrated ability to write compelling and resonant ad copy.
  • Proficient in Analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar and CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus, though not required.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience is a plus, though not required.
  • Experience with a landing page testing tool is a plus, though not required.
  • Experience with an ad CMS + Bid automation tool (i.e. Marin, Adobe, Kenshoo) is a plus, though not required.
