Advanced manufacturing is a vital economic force in the United States forecasted to grow over the next decade. Economic expansion will likely create a need to fill 3.4 million manufacturing jobs in the U.S. by 2025, with 2 million positions anticipated to go unfilled due to a lack of skilled workers. ECPI University is addressing this need by building on the University’s educational and technical engagement expertise. We are currently seeking a Director of Advanced Manufacturing to lead these efforts.
Responsibilities:
This industry professional will engage in developing programs for companies or industries incorporating hands-on experiential learning, fostering curricula that provides multi-disciplinary experiences for students, leveraging partnerships with advanced manufacturing organizations and delivering the training where appropriate.
In addition, the Director of Advanced Manufacturing will build connections and relationships between ECPI University and key employer partners, represent ECPI University at key events that have a focus on advanced manufacturing and provide administrative oversight to the custom programs directly linked to manufacturing companies to include on-boarding and training advanced manufacturing instructors, faculty and staff within their respective programs.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have at least ten years of full‐time experience working in or with the advanced manufacturing industry. Crucially, they will have strong analytical and communication skills and be a highly effective leader and ambassador for the University. MBA or related degree preferred.
