Director - Clinical Nutrition Job at WellSpan Health
This is a remote position where the ideal candidate would be located in South Central Pennsylvania or in Northern Maryland.
Occasional travel required within WellSpan’s geographic footprint.
Job Description:
Under general supervision of the Sr. Director of Food and Nutrition Services, oversees the management of clinical nutrition services, for the System (including YH, GH, WSRH , ECH, GSH and Philhaven) interacting with food service operational staff, hospital administration, medical staff and allied health personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Accountabilities:
- Provides overall guidance and direction in dietary planning and planning of daily menus including regular and therapeutic diets for all patients, employees and visitors.
- Directs nutrition support staff in the delivery of inpatient and outpatient medical nutrition therapy.
- Evaluates overall patient meal acceptance and visits patients as appropriate.
- . Provides direction to professionals providing nutritional assessments and consults as part of patient care and care plans.
- . Develops team’s skill sets and monitors performance to meet safety, quality and patient experience expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience:
- 8 - 10 years
- Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum Field Of Expertise:
- Foods or nutrition
- Required Certification:
- Pennsylvania State Licensure of Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN)
