If so, you may be just who we are looking for. We are an all girls group home located on 20 beautifully treed acres in the rural Deer Lake Community of Loon Lake, WA.

We are what is called a Behavioral Rehabilitative Service (BRS) Group Home. Our clients come from many walks of life and are foster youth with The Department of Children Youth and Families.

Currently we are hiring for Direct Care Security Guard. The position can be part time or full time with 3.30pm-12:00am or 12:00am - 8am being the typical daily shift

While supporting our client's various needs is key to the position, we take pride in engaging and creating relationships that assist in encouraging life skills and independent living.

Essential Functions

Implementing Individual Behavior Management Plans for our clients on a day-to-day basis. This will include:

  • Management of the girls in accordance with their IBMPs.
  • Providing regular individual supervision of clients.
  • The development and implementation of recreational activities both in and out of the home.
  • Participating in active engagement with clients to promote the learning of life skills and independent living skills.
  • Providing therapeutic experiences for each client in accordance with their IBMP.
  • Crisis management of students with critical incident reporting.
  • Overseeing the daily physical and psychological safety issues with clients.
  • Maintaining an age-appropriate balance of limit setting, giving directions and nurturing on an on-going basis.
  • Overseeing, monitoring and providing the day to day care of clients’ basic needs, such as:
  • Mealtimes and nutrition
  • Bedtime routines
  • Personal hygiene
  • Chores
  • Upkeep of their bedroom and community living areas
  • Communicating about client and setting issues with the Program Manager and Director.
  • Providing transport and/or monitoring from one activity to another in the home, community or appointments as needed.
  • Completion of the medication management and administration training course and assisting with the administration of medications as directed.
  • Completing all necessary documentation including: daily logs, tracking of students’ behavior, critical incidents and shift reports.
  • Participation in essential responsibilities for the maintenance of day to day functions of The Deer Lake Girls Home include but are not limited to
  • Shift chores such as light cleaning and document maintenance.
  • Preparing of meals.
  • Shopping, errand running and transportation of girls to and from appointments and community activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Responds positively and appropriately to direction and feedback.
  • Certification and Training (Can be completed after hire):
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Food Handlers Permit
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training
  • Medication Administration Training
  • Provide proof of auto insurance and a drivers license
  • Pass a State Background Check
  • Have High School Diploma or GED
  • Work Remotely=No

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
