This position is located in Mechanicsville, VA
Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority’s Digital Unit is seeking a part-time, in-house content specialist to assist in editing and maintaining the Virginia ABC website, including the online product catalog and cocktail recipe collection.
This position is a wage position and is limited to 29 hours per week with no benefits, not to exceed 1500 hours per year.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain content and layouts on the Virginia ABC website, including adding and modifying product information and other site content
- Prepare product images and descriptions for the online catalog
- Optimize content and meta data for site search and organic search
- Proofread and audit web content for quality
- Work closely with content strategy teams to assure that content promotes objectives
Minimum Qualifications
- Organized, detail-oriented individual with an ability to work with words and an appreciation for the value of quality content in the customer experience
- Demonstrated ability to write and edit with clarity and accuracy
- College courses in Marketing, English, Public Relations, or related fields
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical skills are a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or completed coursework in Marketing, English, Public Relations or any related field
