Digital Mail Specialist – DHHS Operations – Bismarck ND
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking four (4) Digital Mail Specialists to sort and digitize incoming mail for critical economic assistance programs so requests may be processed more efficiently.
As a Digital Mail Specialist, you will sort incoming postal mail and inner office mail by group or type and scan to online folders for easy distribution. Also, you will have to process all returned/undeliverable mail for Economic Assistance.
To thrive in this position, you must be able to analyze, monitor and input records and be comfortable asking questions when it’s unclear how to process a piece of mail. You must be willing to learn and understand the difference between various economic assistance programs Also, you must be someone who likes routine and prides themselves in their efficiency and accuracy.
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Demonstrated work experience sorting and scanning a variety of documents
- Demonstrated work experience using basic computer programs
- Demonstrated ability to read document headers and to categorize correctly
- Ability to use hands in repetitive tasks to open mail, sort, scan and enter basic data
- Demonstrated ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Able to work onsite at the State Capital in Bismarck ND
Experience in mail processing or digitizing documents is preferred.
