Diesel Mechanic/Trailer Mechanic

Starting Pay between $18-$24/hour (based on experience)

2nd Shift 1200pm-8:00pm

DOT Experience Desired

Essential Functions:

• Truck/Trailer PM
• Annual Inspections
• Diagnosis and repair of engine, drive train, A/C and transmission
• Troubleshooting of electrical wiring and components
• Repair/replacement of brake and suspension items
• Experience in welding is preferred
• Ordering parts for inventory and jobs on hand
• Communicate with management and receive instruction
• Communicate daily work in form of repair orders
• Upkeep of the shop and equipment
• Other duties assigned by the management

Diesel Mechanic Technician Requirements:

• Own tools required
• 2 years of experience preferred in the above trades
• Experience in using diagnostic software is preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Good communication skills required including written communication

Four Star, a Family owned business for over one hundred years is in search of a mechanic- technician with solid knowledge and work experience to maintain our large fleet of tractors and trailers. The mechanic will maintain equipment by completing inspections, performing all preventive maintenance and recordkeeping of repairs. Four Star will provide additional training to candidates if needed. We offer competitive compensation for qualified candidates with somewhat flexible work hours.
