DevOps Engineer
Job Summary:
The DevOps Engineer position within Amano McGann is a highly technical position rooted in driving automation, quality assurance, and delivering cloud services. This position will work closely with agile teams and the architecture team within the company to ensure operational success.
This is a role that requires a personable, creative, analytical, results-oriented, and organized individual.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Model DevOps culture of intellectual curiosity, problem solving, collaboration, reasonable risk taking, and big thinking in a self-directed environment.
- Collaborate with the agile teams to look for ways to improve the Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and processes.
- Collaborate with the Cloud Platform Operations Manager (CPOM) and the Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to resolve Production issues, escalating to R&D Engineers and Architecture. Back up the SRE role.
- Troubleshoot and debug build issues with a focus on resolving problems quickly with minimal impact to developers and QA.
- Automate, monitor, and measure processes to increase efficiency wherever possible.
- Participate in security compliance efforts; experience drafting and/or reviewing IT policies.
- Participate in Production incident investigations to determine root cause.
- Draft, Review, Implement and Monitor Adherence to Security Policies as they relate to the CI/CD pipelines and processes”

Qualifications: (Skills, Abilities, Knowledge)
- Three to four years of experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines deploying to multiple environments.
- Passion designing, building, managing, and documenting resilient CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Linux Administration.
- Experience with Git source control.
- Foundational understanding of security best practices.
- Exposure to programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP or similar cloud platforms. Preferred experience with AWS.
- Experience using IaC tools such as Terraform
