Bakersfield, is located two hours north of Los Angeles on the Kern River and right next to the Sequoia National Forest. This Southern California city is a great place to live due its location and affordability. Bakersfield is a significant hub for both agriculture and energy production. You will also find lots of outdoor actives due to the regions pleasant weather, local parks, and close proximity to National Forests. If you love river rafting or paddle boarding, you can travel 45 minutes east up the Kern Canyon to the beautiful city of Kernville and Lake Isabella for a fun day on the lake or river.
