Therefore, we are looking to recruit the next best Pet Care Associate to join Team Bark Support! Bark Support®, a small family-owned dog walking & pet care company based in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill is looking for a Dedicated Dog Walker/Pet Care Associate who can work with us from Monday to Friday, around 1030am - 530pm.

We are actively engaged in our neighborhoods and consider many of our neighbors and clients as families, therefore we hope to find a neighborhood person who is interested to join our team, to feel, meet, and support our clients and their beloved pets, their property, and the community! To join our team in doing its part of providing quality and excellent pet care services as a gift and a contribution for the world out there!

Basically, you are someone who obviously enjoys being around pets, motivated to work, able to carry responsibilities, have sharp attention to details, have the ability to manage and multitask specifics (involves handling pet’s behavior/character individually, client’s properties, punctuality, and knowing where you are going through the day), an orderly person, positive attitude, consistently reliable, and willing to learn and conquer our training process (paid) and become a part of Team Bark Support.

There are some flexiblity in starting and end time for the day, able to start earlier (8/9am is a big advantage), but you must be available Monday to Friday, and can commit to a minimum of 9 months with us, as we believe Bark Support will bring meanings which would fit for you; the good feelings, functional scope of work, and meeting your financial needs!

SOME OF OUR BENEFITS:

• Paid training is provided.
• You will be paid per appointment, not by the hour. ($23-$30/hour average).
• Extra pay for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays' work.
• You will have a set schedule, day to day, to meet the your target minimum weekly salary. You can work more if it fits your capabilities and schedule.
• Your dog walking route is designed to cover a small area (less than 1 mile radius) and will stay the same as your daily schedule.
• We provide work gear (such as poo bags, treats, outerwear, etc.) so you will be well equipped and comfortable at work.
• With strong support from your small team, you will master skills on how to be a great dog walker/pet care associate.
• You will learn and excel in client relations and care, attention to detail skills, communication skills, time management, work ethics, and much more.
• Work in a historic and upscale Brooklyn neighborhood and in a community that thrives on high values and integrity.

REQUIREMENT FOR THIS POSITION:

• You must be available to work Monday - Friday, at least between 10am - 530pm.
• Earlier start around 8-9am is an advantage (not mandatory).
• Your commute time to the neighborhood (Fort Greene/Clinton Hill) is 25 minutes or less.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 9 months on the position.
• Have the availability to work 1-2 weekends per month and some holiday season.
• Can walk and be outside in ALL types of weather and can manage this type of physical activity on a daily basis.. walking around 8-10 miles a day!
• Tech-savvy on an Android smartphone. Minimum knowledge of Google Apps are required. A work phone will be provided.
• You are a person of high integrity, responsible, driven, and motivated to give your best in any situation! A person who has and respects order for himself and others.
• You are focused, have the ability to pay attention to little details, observant, have good time management, and communication skills.
• You can ride a bicycle for mobility (useful).
