Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cassandra Database Developer with expertise in AWS technologies. As a Cassandra Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable database solutions using Cassandra and leveraging the AWS ecosystem. Strong proficiency in Golang or Python is preferred for this role, as you will be working with these programming languages to develop and enhance data processing and automation tools. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize Cassandra database solutions to meet the requirements of high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant applications.
• Implement data models, schema designs, and indexing strategies for efficient data storage and retrieval in Cassandra.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and translate them into effective database designs and schemas.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and automation tools using Golang or Python, ensuring data integrity and quality.
• Monitor and tune database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries for improved efficiency.
• Work with AWS services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Lambda to deploy and manage Cassandra clusters in a cloud environment.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, performance problems, and system outages in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Cassandra, AWS, Golang, and Python technologies, and make recommendations for their adoption as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and optimizing Cassandra databases for high-performance, scalable applications.
• Strong proficiency in either Golang or Python, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience working with AWS services, particularly in deploying and managing Cassandra clusters in an AWS environment.
• Knowledge of database architecture, data modeling, and schema design principles.
• Familiarity with performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting techniques in Cassandra.
• Understanding of distributed systems, CAP theorem, and eventual consistency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex database issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty) and experience with other NoSQL databases are a plus.
