Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Customer Service Officer for our office in Austin, Texas. Our customer service team handles all the orders, special requests, complaints and other operational interactions with both customers and suppliers. As a Customer Service Officer you serve a fixed portfolio of customers and you are responsible for providing these customers outstanding end-to-end service.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for service delivered to a portfolio of customers
  • Prevent or solve any incidents that interrupt service to a customer and provide feedback to management where necessary in order to improve processes or tools. Work with purchasing officers and production/logistics planning to provide high-quality service for every single order.

Involve management where customer satisfaction is at risk.

  • Flawlessly handle customer orders, complaints, and requests for information, also keeping the overview of any actions by other teams. Use appropriate tools for this.
  • Provide quotations to customers as requested by either the customer or the sales team, and make sure pricing is correctly registered.
  • Conduct analysis (involve management where necessary) to solve structural problems with customer (historical errors, consignment stock deviation, call off agreements…). Analyse sales/margin anomalies.
  • Continuously monitor customer satisfaction and service level and take necessary actions to improve.

Are you the right person?

You are fluent in English. Every other language is an advantage. You are a natural story-teller who can easily convey (written or spoken) messages in an appealing way. You have experience in a customer service environment.

You are a fast learner and a real problem solver. You have experience using an ERP system. You can work very accurately. You can keep the overview and handle a wide variety of tasks.
