Securitas Security is currently hiring Security Officers for the Principal Financial Group Campus in Downtown Des Moines!

Position Information:

• Full-time & Part-time
• 2nd & 3rd Shift Available
• Reception Desk Security Officer
• $17.00-$18.00 per hour (depending on position & experience)
• $1,000 BONUS! $500 after 6 months & $500 after 1 year **This bonus is only available for this location. Will be discussed further during hiring process**
• On-site Wellness Center Access

Requirements:

• Must have a professional demeanor
• Must have strong customer service skills
• Must be able to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
• Must be able to pass a company and State background check and drug screen
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English

Responsibilities:

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
• Prepares logs and reports as required Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances
• Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization
