Character of Position

As a Customer Service Representative, You are the link between sales account managers and Morrell Group, always putting the customer satisfaction, internal and external, as the number one focus. You will participate in a variety of complex clerical customer service duties in support of the sale cycle and respond to customer requests and inquiries.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process all customer purchase orders in a timely fashion and in accordance with any specific instructions provided
  • Respond to customer requests for price and delivery
  • Identify, research, and resolve customer issues, concerns, and problems
  • Follow-up on customer inquiries not immediately resolved. Work directly with our sales staff when needed to ensure customer requirements are exceeded
  • Receive and review incoming phone calls, postal mail, and email. Must provide timely responses
  • File and maintain all sales orders
  • Review weekly customer backorder reports to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Process Return Goods Authorizations and credits as needed
  • Attempt to up-sell additional products and services
  • Foster a positive team environment by assisting co-workers
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education

  • High School Diploma
  • Technical or vocational is a plus

Experience

  • 1-3 years in customer service
  • Use of an ERP system in regards to quote, order processing and inventory management (Trulinx/E2 Job Boss a plus)
  • Use of vendor websites for current pricing, lead-time and product knowledge base

  • Understanding of complex pricing schemes and general buying and selling principles
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to answer a high volume of calls and/or emails daily
  • Ability to share work among a customer service team
