JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinates with internal departments in handling customer related order follow-up and expedites. Acts as liaison between customer, sales, manufacturing, and quality departments. Prepares quotes and returns to customer. Processes new customer orders and enters into ERP system.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • Achieves and maintains positive relationships with customers and assures customer satisfaction by resolution of customer related issues.
  • Receives and processes requests for expediting of orders.
  • Coordinates past due data between manufacturing and customers.
  • Reviews upcoming customer scheduled orders proactively.
  • Serves as liaison between customer and all internal departments to meet customer and company needs.
  • Prepares written communication and maintains filing system.
  • Prepares customer order status reports.
  • Prepares customer quotes.
  • Processes new customer orders.

Qualifications:

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively one on one and in small groups with customers and employees.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications:

Ability to work extended hours as needed to ensure customer and company requirements are met on a timely basis. This could include work schedule requirements in excess of eight (8) hours and occasional Saturdays.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are needed for this position.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two years of college preferred. Two (2) years customer service experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
