Our custodian peforms the following duties in a manufacturing facility and will be exposed to not only the offices, but the manufacturing floor and may be required at times to wear PPE.

• Maintains cleanliness of office areas, conference rooms and lobby including windows, doors, floors, carpets, fixtures and trash removal.
• Sanitizes and cleans restrooms including fixtures, counters and floors. Ensures proper supplies are available and restocked.
• Ensures the cleanliness of the cafeteria including floors, tables, counters, microwaves, emptying trash and restocking of supplies such as paper towels and cutlery.
• Assists with external maintenance of grounds including snow removal, salting, sweeping, trash removal and ensuring parking lot is maintained.
• Supports facilities maintenance with light repair and replacement of light bulbs, paint, light plumbing and equipment cleaning.
• Waters plants/shrubs as needed.
• Reports any problems or concerns about internal or external facilities to Maintenance Manager.

Required Skills/Experience:

Highly organized and detail oriented, able to prioritize and manage time well. Flexible with good team work. Reliable and dependable. Use of small hand and power tools. Able to use snow blowers, buffers, carpet shampooer, brooms, mops. Able to work independently

Additional Information:

Will work with various cleaning solutions and chemicals, required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, crouch, push and pull and lift up to 55 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders and stairssafely. May operate powered industrial equipment such as forklift and manlifts. May be required to wear PPE and be exposed to the odor of plastic. Will add water to powered industrial equipment batteries. Exposure to battery acid, cleaning solvents, degreasers, lubricants and other industrial chemicals. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, snow, rain, etc.) when performing outdoor duties. Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
