Job Summary

We are looking for a Cultivation Technician. They will be responsible for conducting daily activities in the mother, clone and vegetative rooms as directed by the Cultivation Supervisor. Key success factors for this position will include the ability to follow SOPs and complete documentation, monitor plant health closely, operations mindset, and relay observations to the Cultivation Supervisor

Responsibilities would include:

· This position must ensure current Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), with adherence to OSHA and AMCC regulations, and ISO and LEAN standards.

· Conduct functions in various stages of the growing process in alignment with AMCC and OSHA Safety standards, including but not limited to irrigation/fertigation, cloning, transplanting, flushing, waste disposal, inventory management, weighing, trimming, curing, packaging, labelling and shipping of product

· Takes moisture readings and consults with Cultivation Supervisor regarding watering needs.

· Proper execution of all SOPs and completion of department documentation to maintain compliance with OSHA, AMCC and other regulatory bodies regulations.

· Follow established company policies and procedures.

· Assist in the process of weighing, trimming, curing, packaging, labelling, and shipping of products.

· Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene in compliance with policy and regulations.

· Collects all hazardous/non-hazardous waste generated by production processes and transfers to appropriate collection areas.

· Sanitize and maintain all tools and technical equipment used in propagation activities.

· Perform miscellaneous laboring tasks.

· Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

· 2 + years Commercial horticultural experience and manufacturing experience

· Work in an organized and timely fashion to ensure that expected productivity is met.

· Be committed to a healthy, safe, and clean work environment.

· Adhere to health and safety programs and observe occupational health and safety regulations.

· Familiarity with working in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)

· Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and verbal directions.

· Must be at a minimum of 21 years of age.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, and repetitive motions.

· Strong odors of extracted cannabis and cannabis plants on a consistent basis

· Able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds on occasion. Able to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday. Able to stand for extended periods of time. Able to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension)

· Bending, walking, and kneeling in packaging facility to ensure safety & quality of products throughout the business flow.

Other Requirements

· Knowledge of federal, and Alabama Medical Cannabis legislation

· Must pass an extensive background security check and criminal record check.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
