Job Summary and Qualifications

The Certified Respiratory Therapist for our practice provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality and efficient care. As the CRT, you will be responsible for providing care to respiratory compromised patients. This entails all duties relating to the field of Respiratory patient care by physician order. With the use of your unique knowledge, skills and abilities, you will be able to make a significant and positive impact upon patient care.

What you will do in this role:

• You will perform routine and high-risk procedures as prescribed by the MD and follow appropriate policy in the application of respiratory procedures.
• You will communicate with physicians on the effectiveness of respiratory care procedures.
• You will thoroughly explain and answer patient and family questions regarding respiratory care.
• You will review patients' charts to verify order and check for contradictions of therapy.
• You will assess patient and provide proper documentation in patient's chart as related to therapy.

• You will assemble, install, disassemble, assess and maintain equipment according to manufacturer and department policy.

What qualifications you will need:

• Acceptable degree from an accredited school - Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Bachelor Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required
• A Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license in the state which you practice, in accordance with law and regulation, is required
• Must obtain a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in the state which you practice, in accordance with law and regulation within 2 years of start date
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred and required within 90 days of hire date

• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) Provider is preferred and required within 90 days of hire date
