Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA, is a general surgical and medical facility, as well as a teaching hospital that partners with nearby nursing and medical schools. It’s located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, which is the flagship site for Inova Health System. The 923-bed medical center serves the people of northern Virginia and other parts of the Washington, DC, metro area. The campus includes the Inova Schar Cancer Institute, Inova Neurosciences Institute, Inova Women’s Hospital, Inova Heart and Vascular Institute, and Inova Children’s Hospital. The only Level I Trauma Center in northern Virginia is located here; it features organ transplant programs for lung, kidney, pancreas, and heart.

Our anesthesia team includes more than 75 CRNAs and 60 anesthesiologists, as well as more than 30 anesthesia and cardiovascular technicians. Our group works in a care team model.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
