CRISIS INTERVENTION SPECIALIST (Full-time/Night Shift)


Location
: Salem OR 97304

Job Status: Full-time, Night Shift 12a.m. to 8a.m.

Compensation: DOE, $18-22/hr.

Night Shift Differential: $2.50

Sign-on Bonus: $1000

Referral Bonus: $500


YOUR ROLE:

Crisis Intervention Specialists provide 24-hour crisis intervention, suicide prevention, risk assessment, and brief supportive counseling over the phone to clients who are experiencing emotional distress, suicidal ideation, and/or seeking information on available mental health services. The Crisis and Information Hotline answers all calls made to 988 in Marion and Polk counties and acts as after-hours crisis support for multiple community partners. Crisis Intervention Specialists provide crisis intervention, risk assessment screening, safety planning, follow-up support, and advocacy based on client's assessed needs. After 90-days of employment there are scheduling options including remote work, if desired and approved. Candidates must be eligible to obtain/maintain a QMHA-R level certification. (Certifications - MHACBO)


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree or 2 years of current enrollment in a BA/BS program with a focus in psychology, social work, mental health, or behavioral sciences field. BA/BS degree strongly preferred.
  • Combination of at least three years relevant work, education, training, or experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an integrated team.
  • Demonstrated ability to use appropriate problem-solving and decision-making skills while working with individuals who may be very escalated or experiencing acute crisis.
  • Understanding of Trauma-Informed Care models.
  • Demonstrated ability to practice self-reflection
