CRISIS CLINICIAN with $1,000 signing bonus!
Position covers our six county service area: Baca, Bent, Crowley, Kiowa, Otero and Prowers counties, and can be based out of any of these counties.
Annualized wage: $43,100-$51,700
FLSA Status: Exempt

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a mental health field.
  • Competency demonstrated in the field of mental health emergency care.
  • COVID Vaccination or approved exemption required
  • Ability to pass drug test and background check (including MVR)
  • TB test result (within past 12 months)
  • English (speaking, writing and reading) and basic computer skills
  • Timely and proper attendance
  • Appropriate and effective work performance
  • Ability to take direction and follow instruction
  • Valid Colorado driver's license, ability to drive, insurability and willingness to travel
  • Possess willingness to work nights/holidays/weekends
  • May require:
    • Annual flu vaccination
Some of the duties:
  • Provide 24/7 on-call clinical crisis services screening and agency support for the six (6) county area on a rotational basis.
  • Demonstrate a working understanding of agency policies and procedures as evidenced by responding to all initial calls within 15 minutes and responding within a max. time frame of two (2) hours of notification the client is ready to be seen.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment as evidenced by appropriate screening/assessment and commensurate referral and/or case management that effectively resolves the crisis.
  • Be accurate and timely in performing tasks as evidenced by completing all necessary documentation within 24 hours of call completion to maintain the clinical chart and provide necessary reporting data.
  • Demonstrate effective screening/assessment skills that accurately describes the crisis and shows effective resolution as evidenced by documentation review of two (2) cases per year.
  • Provide transportation for clients as needed and in keeping with SHG procedure.
  • Routinely follow the Crisis Services Plan for the Day.
  • Adhere to all procedures as detailed in the Emergency Process Guide.
  • Pursue Continuing Education specific to Crisis services as evidenced by completing two (2) courses of study including webinars, seminars, academic classes, or other approved learning modalities per year.
