Courier and Facilities Assistant | Part-Time Job at Avadian Credit Union
Description:
Primary Job Role: Process, sort, and deliver mail and packages to and from Birmingham area offices. Pick up and take mail to the Post Office for the Corporate Office. Process and distribute other deliveries.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Prepare bulk mailings for delivery to the Post Office.
- Meter all outgoing mail daily.
- Maintain and service all postal equipment and notify supervisor when meter needs additional postage.
- Assist Purchasing and Facilities with department duties as assigned.
- Maintain company vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Basic Requirements:
- Must pass background driver’s record check.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must have valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle independently.
- Must have knowledge of city streets, postal rates, and regulations
- Must have excellent written and verbal skills, positive attitude, pleasant demeanor, decisiveness, and professionalism.
- Must be able to work/travel independently via automobile.
Experience: One month of similar or related experience. Courier experience preferred.
Education: A high school diploma or GED
