Job Description:
This attorney will partner closely with business clients to drive results while appropriately managing risk, both with respect to contracts and more general business counseling. This attorney will be a member of the General Mills Law Department’s “Contracts Center of Excellence” (which is responsible for providing the department and its clients globally with tools and processes for contracting), as well as the Department’s “Privacy & Data Protection Center of Excellence” (a new team focused on legal and policy compliance with regard to data privacy and data protection issues worldwide).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
General Mills seeks an attorney to provide legal support to a range of teams globally, including its Supply Chain Sourcing functions (with particular emphasis on drafting and negotiating agreements relating to ingredients, packaging, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, engineering, equipment, and construction), its Corporate Sourcing and Marketing Sourcing teams, and its Data Privacy & Cybersecurity team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a nationally accredited law school
- 3 years of experience as an attorney working in a sophisticated legal practice
- Admitted (or willing to gain admission) to practice law in the state of Minnesota
- Excellent judgment; strong strategic, creative, and analytical thinking; business acumen; and the ability to prioritize and work autonomously on multiple projects at the same time
- Highly focused on continual learning and development
- Significant experience working with contracts and/or the ability and interest to quickly develop expertise in this area
- Exposure to privacy and data protection issues and/or the ability and interest to quickly develop expertise in this area
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Team orientation that demonstrates flexibility in role
- Ability to earn the trust of (and influence the decisions of) a wide array of smart, sophisticated business clients at all levels of the organization
