We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Cosmetology or Esthetician instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become licensed Cosmetologist and Estheticians. This position will on focus on teaching esthetics. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, mentoring, and sharing your experience that will help students succeed in their future careers.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and implement lesson plans, course materials, and curriculum that aligns with the standards and regulations of the Michigan Board of Cosmetology and the schools' protocols.
• Provide instruction to students in various aspects of esthetics, including skincare, makeup application, and hair removal.
• Administer theory and practical lessons and demonstrations; in addition, grading exams, grading assignments, and assess students' progress and provide feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other performance metrics.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Mentor and advise students regarding career options.
• Helping students prepare for licensure exams (theory & practical)
• Stay up-to-date with new techniques and trends in the field of esthetics.
• Strongly encourage to participate in professional development activities, meetings, and other school related events.

Qualifications:

• A current license as a Cosmetologist or Esthetician in good standing.
• Experience working as a Cosmetologist or Esthetician.
• Teaching experience working in a post-secondary education setting or providing workshops or masterclasses is a plus, but not necessary.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
• Passion for teaching, and a commitment to student success.

The pay is based on your experience and technical knowledge with performing facials & back facials, hair removal, makeup, brow tinting, using electrotherapy devices and knowledge of ingredients. Training will be provided.
