The Netflix Production Safety Coordinator will support our Health & Safety team across series and film productions in the United States and Canada. This role partners closely with a wide range of cross functional partners including: Production Management, Production HR, Employment Legal, Risk Management, and Production Security.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the overall team strategy for workflows and processes efficiency
  • Work closely with Team Leads to achieve team excellence
  • Develop and manage operational initiatives to deliver tactical results
  • Receive objective based assignments, and determine resources to meet schedules and goals
  • Identify tech solutions to improve efficiency (ie. platforms/tools)
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the safety program
  • Facilitate internal Production Safety real-time alignment of information
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key cross functional partners in support of productions
  • Collaborate with relevant production personnel to ensure production is compliant with the safety program
  • Escalate to the Production Safety Team Managers pain points and new ideas for improvement
  • Gather learnings and recommend creative solutions
  • Lead/facilitate internal and external production safety calls as required
  • Provide ongoing support to Safety Managers
  • Assist the Safety Manager with tech scout reports/notes and production documents
  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager in identifying injury trends and proposed mitigation plans for production
  • Escalate safety hotline complaints
  • Develop and facilitate internal and external onboarding processes
  • Implement production safety training programs
  • Update and maintain internal slates/tools (i.e update key personnel, track production milestones, etc.)
  • Maintain safety folders and keep Google Drive up to date and organized
  • Perform ongoing audit of safety forms and deliverables
  • Communicate and coordinate with Production Management
  • Schedule meetings with external and internal stakeholders
  • Create meeting agendas and take notes
  • Perform any other duties necessary to support the department and company

  • Take educated risks, think out of the box, prioritize, and respond accordingly

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in entertainment production and/or health and safety environment preferred
  • Great communicator who can build strong working relationships with internal and external partners and vendors
  • Proficiency in Google Suite; Asana, Airtable, and/or Lucidchart a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, regional and local health & safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, etc.), and an understanding of globally analogous regulations a plus
  • Good understanding of motion picture and television production process including organizational structure, terminology, equipment, construction methods, stunt and special effects techniques, etc. preferred
