CODA is currently looking for a full time Cook/Kitchen Assistant to join our recovery treatment team in Tigard!
In this position, you would fulfill the following essential functions:

  • Assist with meal preparation for residents.
  • Prepare healthy and nutritious meals in accordance with planned menus as well as safety and health regulations.
  • Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc., and ensure food storage areas are clean and properly arranged. Move and lift stock and equipment as necessary.
  • Direct residents at residential sites in preparing and cooking meals.
  • Assist with donation pick-up from Food Bank and other donation sites.

Requirements
The right individual for this position has a passion for helping others, and is able to deal with difficult situations in positive and constructive ways. This position also requires the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Kitchen/food service experience
  • Prior work experience in menu planning and food preparation for large groups of people in a health-care environment is desired.
