Cook/Baker Job at Cricket & Fig Chocolate
Cricket & Fig Chocolate is hiring an experienced Cook/Baker that will primarily execute all areas of prep and service for our breakfast and lunch menu. In addition, there will be some basic baking of scones, cookies, etc.. Lastly, this position will learn and assist with making chocolates by hand on an as-needed basis as a secondary responsibility. Professional demeanor and excellent customer-service skills is a must, along with the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with patrons in a fast-paced environment. Formal culinary education is preferred, as well as fine dining experience. Baking/pastry skills and/or experience working with chocolate are a plus. A Tulsa County Food Handlers card is required. Schedule will consist of a mixture of mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Job Description
Persons in this position may perform the following tasks on a daily basis:
- Prep, store, cook, and serve savory menu items for a la carte service
- Package chocolates for retail sale and/or shipping
- Prepare plated desserts to order using established recipes and formulas
- Interact with customers in a display kitchen or retail scenario
- Prepare scratch-made bakery items for retail sale such as cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- General cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing of all aspects of the facility
- Comply with any and all company and health department policies and regulations
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
