At Cahoon Care Associates we are looking for Continuous-Shift Caregivers to join our team serving Ellsworth, Penobscot, and MDI in HANCOCK COUNTY. Shifts are continuous for a minimum of two days and a maximum of four days; and schedules can be customized to fit your lifestyle (a continuous shift during the week or through the weekend).

If you work with Cahoon Care Associates, we’ll make sure you have fair pay, all the support you need to understand the care needs of clients, a support team who will always have your back, and the best schedule/hours we can.

Because as you know, if you’ve already worked as a caregiver, caregiving can be a demanding job that requires compassion and patience. However, it’s one of the most important jobs in society, and here at Cahoon Care Associates, we treat our caregivers accordingly. We take care of our caregivers the way we want them to take care of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Helping clients, typically seniors or people with disabilities, live a rewarding daily life
• Assisting clients with basic daily tasks, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, transfers, and errands
• Being a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion
• Being attentive to clients’ needs and alerting necessary parties if there is a safety or health concern

What you need to be successful:

· A strong work ethic and willingness to learn quickly

· Compassion for and interest in people from all walks of life

· Dependability and integrity

· Physical ability to complete the demand of the job

Experience:

• Caregiving: 2 years (Required)
• Home care: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
