We are looking for a Content Writer with proficient, insightful skills who can work with our in-house Houston web team to produce a variety of content ranging from thought leadership whitepaper to marketing copy.

As the Content Writer, you would be working with our web team to generate a diverse assortment of content that includes articles, blogs, product descriptions, social media posts, and webpage content.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Heritage Content Writer:

- Create content specifically driven towards targeted marketing objectives, i.e. increasing brand awareness, promoting product sales, growing website traffic, generating leads, acquiring customers, and the increasing digital footprint of the brand.
- Improve or create text to describe products on our Ecommerce websites
- Write educational and lifestyle articles for company blogs and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Create or improve text for our educational and lifestyle "How To" and "Do-It-Yourself" blogs and articles on our e-commerce websites
- Assist in gathering content and text to improve our company web sites.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (Preferably in English, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or writing-related field)
- 2+ years’ experience in tactics including content creation, editing, analytics, social media marketing
- Content Optimization for Search Engines – A demonstrated ability to create content that is optimized to drive traffic to web properties from search engines
- Editing – Proven editorial skills including strong language skills and the ability to adjust content to remain consistent with brand, style and tone
- Thought Leadership – Successful management of a business blog, article, or other types of whitepaper that furthers organizational goals
- Copywriting – An understanding of how to create and present content that persuades - both long form and short form
- Must enjoy writing content for our websites and be able to complete planned project agenda/goals with minimal direct supervision after initial training.
