Job Summary:
As a Content Curator, you will use technology and instructional design skills to translate concepts from ideas to engaging, impactful learner-focused training materials resulting in performance improvement and sustainable results. You will be responsible for writing and designing course content, collaborating with peers and partners, implementing solutions, and evaluating effectiveness. You will facilitate learning experiences such as Cast Member and Train the Trainer programs to support organizational needs.
You will develop content independently or work with Training Managers and Program Facilitators on content development and enhancement. You will use learning software skills to design interactive, engaging, and high-quality materials. You will use technology to design synchronous learning such as virtual instructor-led training (VILT) or instructor-led training (ILT) and also asynchronous learning solutions.
You will work with peers and partners on the production and delivery of content. Your strong project management and time management skills are needed in order to work in a fast-paced, creative environment and to handle multiple projects or programs simultaneously. There will be a focus on continuous improvement and growth to meet the ever-changing needs of Disney Vacation Club (DVC). This will require you to be flexible, positive, and agile.
You will report to the Training Manager.
You Will
Lead analysis of learning needs and define learning objectives for assigned programs
Develop or enhance classroom, virtual, or technology-based learning experiences using Instructional Design theories to achieve learning goals and support important messages across Disney Vacation Club
Design evaluation strategies and metrics to track the impact of the training content and facilitation. Lead post-learning meetings with Training Manager, peers, and partners to share data and determine if further action is needed
Lead projects independently or collaborate with peers and partners on design and delivery of learning programs to effectively meet learning objectives
Facilitate Cast Member Training, Train the Trainer Sessions
You Will Have
3+ years of Content Development and/or Instructional Design background, creating learning programs and experiences, or other relevant experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools
Experience with L&D design software such as Articulate, Camtasia, Vyond
Enthusiastic and optimistic attitude with a record of building trust and partnership with others
Organization, flexibility, time management, planning, and project management skills to handle multiple projects
Knowledge in quickly learning and applying technology tools
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Initiative to take action to resolve issues, accomplish tasks, and improve efficiency
Experience maintaining confidential information
Ability and flexibility to work at home or on property as needed
Flexible schedule to support needs across time zones
Preferred Qualifications
Disney Training experience or Disney Leadership
Proven knowledge of the Disney Vacation Club product
Required Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
