We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager in our Sacramento, California office.

What you will do: You will be overseeing all phases of construction at hazardous waste sites as well as the daily quality control of various environmental construction projects. Your responsibilities will require on-site presence and oversight of subcontractor activities and ensuring that all construction activities are meet while maintaining the highest possible quality of standards. You will achieve this through matching standards with practices, conducting audits and inspections, addressing any issues that arise to the project manager, and maintaining detailed records. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring schedule and production.
  • Verifying quantities for payment.
  • Monitoring contractor safety procedures.
  • Addressing construction issues with subcontractors.
  • Monitoring, documenting, and coordinating work progress.
  • Computing simple engineering data.
  • Making drawings, tracings, and accurate notes.
  • Ensuring accuracy of plans and specifications by the general contractors.
  • Implementing standards and codes.
  • Performing inspection duties.

This position will include daily presence at job sites.

What you will need:

  • High School diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 5 years of experience managing or performing quality control duties on large earth moving construction projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project engineers, clients, and contractors.
  • Working knowledge of construction practices.
  • Must be experienced professionals with a proven track record in technical and construction project roles.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and use of vehicle is necessary to be able to travel to, from and while on the project site.
  • HAZWOPER certification a plus.
