JOB OPENING – Entry Level Construction Detailer – N. Kansas City
Walsh Door & Security is seeking a Construction Detailer to be a part of the team at our Kansas City location. We
specialize in commercial doors, frames, hardware, cameras, and access control systems for projects throughout the
Midwest. If you have a desire to work for a 150+ year old Midwest-based company and enjoy working in a fast-paced

offices in Des Moines, Iowa City and Kansas City. This opportunity is a full-time, added position.
Job Description:
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements to prepare accurate schedules for doors, frames,
- Review contract documents to accurately detail opening quantities required for projects.
- Enter costs in the scheduling process and compare to the estimated costs.
- Prepare shop drawings, schedules, and submittals using manufacturer catalog cut sheets to support the products
using company software.
- Review the schedules and submittals for any errors that can affect the project prior to sending the job out for
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- AutoCAD or Revit software experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Detail oriented.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects under a deadline.
- Must have ability to handle large work load, multitask, and maintain a positive attitude.
- “Will do”, trainable, team player type attitude.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and security background check.
