WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

The right person for this position is someone who is motivated to do quality work, uses good judgement to plan and accomplish projects and has a positive, can-do attitude. As Construction and Maintenance Supervisor you will assume a hands-on role responsible for budgeting, planning, scheduling and implementing facilities repairs, renovations, and remodel work at Venture properties. This will include performing building maintenance, and repair and renovation work such as, framing and finish carpentry, cabinetry installation, window & door installation, deck and ramp replacement and troubleshooting of plumbing, HVAC and electrical fixtures. You will provide direction, guidance, mentoring and supervision to Maintenance Technicians and coordinate their day to day work assignments. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with government health and safety standards and building code regulations. If you can do that and meet the following requirements, we'd love to have you on our team.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the 9th Edition Massachusetts Building Code.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance and HVAC
• OSHA 10 certification
• Strong supervisory skills and the ability and desire to manage a team.
• Understanding of construction, home improvement, and repair methods and all construction tools.
• Experience operating a plow truck and sander.
• Able to respond to emergency situations in an efficient and timely manner to effect immediate repairs.
• Good oral and written communication with team members, co-workers, employees, contractors and vendors.
• Ability to use computers, mobile devices and software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and field service management software.
• Confidence in creating effective solutions for how to deal with challenges or problems.
• Flexibility in responding to changes in schedules and job priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while completing your work
• Ability to exert continuous physical effort including frequent bending, walking, manipulating and to lift heavy objects in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Five years of work experience in the construction field.
• Two years of supervisory experience
• Current Construction Supervisors License preferred
• Must be 21+ years old, have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
