Current Need

Compliance Monitoring and Data Analytics Specialist to conduct regulatory and compliance reviews reporting to the Director, Compliance Monitoring. The Specialist will analyze, design and document formal testing following monitoring methodologies and communicate results to the various leaders within Compliance and the business.

Position Description

  • Design ongoing compliance monitoring programs leveraging data analytics to identify outliers, anomalies, or unusual trends for closer follow-up/investigation in key risk areas.

  • Develop the infrastructure, in partnership with other relevant groups, to efficiently obtain relevant data sets from key systems to support the overall ongoing monitoring strategies.

  • Develop hypotheses and analyze large data sets to identify potential areas for additional investigation using statistical or other data analysis techniques.

  • Develop metrics and similar standard for continuously monitoring key compliance processes and help build the infrastructure to provide visibility.

  • Execute regulatory and compliance monitoring based upon a comprehensive understanding of compliance risks

  • Assist with planning, delivering, and effectively collaborating on integrated monitoring with the Legal/Compliance/Operations and IT teams

  • Document working papers based on established internal guidelines and make recommendations as appropriate

  • Work with business contacts to identify root causes of observations identified

  • Facilitate obtaining corrective action plans for observations identified

  • Ensure observations presented are appropriately reviewed with the for accuracy and completeness

  • Utilize problem solving skills to add value to areas reviewed

  • Initiate post engagement issue follow-up and resolution

  • Facilitate obtaining reports, from various McKesson systems, to support compliance initiative and activities

  • Support other department initiatives and deliverables as needed

  • Exercise professional judgment and propose value-added solutions in all aspects of engagement execution

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ Years of relevant Experience

Critical Skills

  • Ability to identify insights from data to support compliance monitoring process

  • Ability to manipulate and summarize large quantities of data and analyze the data to identify outliers.

  • Ability to summarize data in a meaningful way for leadership.

  • Experience in executing audits

  • Ability to work on multiple engagements at once

  • Ability to manage time independently

  • Strong English language skills, including the ability to write clearly in English and communicate effectively in a multi-national working environment

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills, including working with large data sets; loading, manipulating, and analyzing data; and designing visualizations and dashboards

  • Familiarity with medical device and/or pharmaceutical compliance rules and practices strongly preferred

  • Work experience in healthcare compliance preferred

  • Understand how applicable laws and regulations apply to the monitoring being performed

  • Ability to express an independent viewpoint. Should be able to communicate statues and issues clearly and effectively, both written and verbally, in a timely manner

  • Strongly preferred: Experience in monitoring and monitoring analytics in a medical devices, pharma or other healthcare setting.

  • 4-7 years of audit experience, or equivalent, preferably with a Big 4 accounting firm, tier 2 accounting firm, law firm, government agency, or Fortune 50 company

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Business process analysis skills in a manufacturing and/or healthcare services setting

  • Auditing policies, procedures, and systems; specific knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Controlled Substances Act (CSA), Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) laws and regulations, and experience performing audits to determine compliance with these regulations

  • Ability to build and foster relationships throughout the organization

  • Project management skills

  • SAP experience

  • Data analytics (e.g., ACL, Python, Tableau) experience

Certification/licensure

  • CHC, CHPC or other professional compliance certifications is a plus

Education

  • Degree or Equivalent Experience

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$75,200 - $125,300
