What is a Completions Advisor?
The Completions Advisor works with engineers, management, and field personnel to ensure that they have the correct equipment to complete the job on location in time for successful execution of the required tasks. The Completion Advisor regularly communicates with our customers and management team to ensure we deliver the best performance from Downing's people, equipment, and technology. Up to 50% travel and working in the field.
In this role, you will:

  • Direct workers daily activities
  • Hire, terminate, as needed
  • Complete corrective actions and performance reviews, as need
  • Train personnel on job requirements, preparation and how to inspect equipment
  • Communicate with the customer to manage their expectations for the job, ensuring we meet or exceed these expectations
  • Coordinate with shop management on the equipment and personnel that will be on the well site to ensure success
  • Provide input on new equipment design, produce development, and manufacturing improvements
  • Provide input for shop processes improvement to lower operational costs and improve quality
  • Train field personnel to deliver quality service
  • Sales and customer relations, as needed
  • Audit the district repair process
  • Conduct customer meetings

Required and Preferred Abilities:

  • Experience in frac and oilfield services equipment operations and repairs
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues
  • Work without supervision and lead a team on location
  • Travel and work on the road for extended periods of time
  • Complete understanding of fracturing operations

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Perform high risk actions or activities in which a mistake could create hazardous conditions that could cause bodily injury and/or property damage
  • Driving considered an essential job function
  • Stand, walk, sit, talk, or hear, use hands to manipulate with fingers, handle or feel, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms
  • Lift, push or pull up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Clearly hear voices or alarms, bells
  • Be able to work in the outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, wet, and be exposed to dust, fumes and other airborne particles, and loud noises

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Vocational or technical training
  • 8+ years of field experience in operating or maintaining oilfield equipment
  • 5-8 years of Supervisory/Management experience
  • Mechanical or Electrical license preferred
