Job Description: No-Fault insurance & Workers' Compensation Specialist

M&D Capital Premier Billing is currently seeking full time Workers' Compensation and No-Fault medical collections representative to handle insurance denials, appeals, rejections for high volume/high dollar surgical medical claims. The ideal candidate for this position must be driven, self-motivated and able to meet the medical collection goals of the office.

Essential Job Duties:

• Identify insurance coverage limitations with thorough examination of claims documentation and related records
• Ability to analyze, identify and resolve issues which may cause payer payment delays
• Identify and resolve claim edits through understanding of billing guidelines and payer requirements
• Interpret terms for Workers' Compensation, No Fault and Commercial, when applicable
• Review all EOBs for correct payment, deductible, adjustments, and denials
• Determining the status of claims with the insurance company, if the claim meets contractual agreements or needs adjustment
• Reconcile account balances, and verify payments are applied correctly
• Maintain well aged accounts, promptly resolve and resubmit denied unpaid claims in a timely and efficient manner
• Follow up on Appeals/corrected submitted claims
• Respond to Insurance and attorney correspondence when necessary
• Review and correct all rejections in clearing house
• Other duties as assigned
• Must have No-Fault, Workers Compensation experience.
• Collaborates with other managers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must have understanding of No-Fault and Workers Compensation rules and regulations
• Excellent time management, critical thinking, and moderation skills.
• Track record of successfully resolving collections
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate
• Demonstrated persuasive skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• The ability to pay attention to detail, prioritize needs, multi-task and manage needs is essential.
• Maintains and conforms to all Privacy Laws regarding patients and practice.
• High school graduate or equivalent (such as GED)
• Knowledge of claims a plus basic knowledge of medical coding; certification a plus.
• Workers’ Compensation Collector/No Fault: 2 years

Hours Required:

Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
